I have not gotten any notification that anyone has been paid. One of her friends mentioned that a doctor friend of her might be helping her out (to pay back everyone). Thanks to someone who has gotten cc'd emails with his name attached, we know who that doctor is, so maybe a call to him would rush her up a bit. I was assured she would have the money within two weeks and since she isn't working, it was hinted that he may be bailing her out. I can swear to that, but that's what I was told.

And... as expected... your two weeks are up. Just another set of lies and broken promises to add to the list. Even better, you now have other people lying for you as well! That really takes a lot of character, doesn't it?

Yes, they were co-bred a litter together under "Legacy Mastiffs". This is from Linda's board:

Kinda sad to read things like this:

Currently in the ring..........

Piper just received her Grand Championship Title September 24th, 2011

When you know multiple people are still out there waiting for either a puppy they will never get, or their deposits back, which it looks like they won't get either.  Can't AKC atop her from showing until she takes care of this?  I don't think she should be allowed to continue to show.

I just hope those that were standing behind her (and some of them were really good people) will realize she doesn't mind throwing them under the bus!

"Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me".  Unfortunately a very useful saying.

No, the only thing AKC will enforce is if she filled out the AKC paperwork right or not.

Well the deadline has passed for Tara to pay everyone back.  Has she paid anyone back yet?  I received a bizarre phone call from Tara over a week ago complaining that I had written here and on Facebook about her bounced check to me.  During her call to me complaining that I had made her bounced check public she agreed to reimburse me for the expenses it cost me to collect from her if I proved to her that I had incurred those expenses.  I sent her an email with my bank's returned check fee and the post office receipt for a certified letter.  She refused to open the email (I sent it "notify when opened" and received no response).  This is a small amount compared to what everyone else has lost but she could have shown her goodwill by making good on her agreement to pay me back.  My guess is that the gas, parking and fees to attend the shows in Fort Wayne a couple of weeks ago cost more than it would to reimburse me.  Is it normal that the perpetrator calls the victim to complain that the victim has made their indiscretion public?  It does not appear that she has any intention of paying anyone back.

Just one more in a very long line of completely unnecessary lies. As you and I have discussed at length Debbie, some of them are simply to boost her own self importance, but many are to keep previous lies from unraveling. Because once one starts to unravel, many many more follow right along with it.

Calling you to complain seems like just another sick, twisted, self-important attempt to shove it all back under the rug it's been hiding under for so long.

Apparently, she has never been held accountable for much of anything, and will continue on as if nothing has ever happened. Big surprise there, huh?

At least she didn't pull the... "I mailed it. The post office must have lost it" trick for the millionth time, which has been her standard response for so many things.

I hope all the people that have been so quick to defend her will see this and realize she's manipulating and lying to them too. Anyone that continues to deal with her really needs to realize that associating with dishonesty is a bad thing for anyones reputation.

Well, we are up to five who are filing with the Michigan BBB and/or the Michigan Attorney General's office over non-refunded deposits.

Michigan Larceny Laws

Quote:

How you are charged and your potential sentence is largely dependent on what it was that was stolen.

If the item(s) or money stolen was:

1. Worth less than $200

2. Worth more than $200, but less than $1,000

3. Worth more than $1,000 and less than $20,000

4. Worth more than $20,000

Then you face:

  • Misdemeanor charges: up to 93 days in jail and fines of up to $500 or 3 times the value of the stolen property (whichever is more)
  • Misdemeanor charges: up to 1 year in jail and fines of up to $2,000 or 3 times the value of the stolen property, whichever is more.
  • Felony charges: up to 5 years in prison and fines of not more than $10,000 or 3 times the value of the stolen property, whichever is more.
  • Felony charges: up to 10 years in prison or fines of not more than $15,000 or 3 times the value of the stolen property, whichever is more.

Assuming that these are appx $500 deposit (may be less or more). If there are 5 of them and they are charged as seperate offenses, then it would be 5 misdemeanors with up to 5 years in jail and 5 x 3 x 500= $7500 fine. Now, if they lump them all together, it could be a felony crime with the same fine/same jail terms.
